Welcome to . . .

Summer camp should be one of the highlights of a unit's activities.
The Greater St. Louis Area Council conducts a variety of programs for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturers. Summer camp programs are held at Camp Lewallen, Pine Ridge Scout Camp, Camp May and Nagel Base at Beaumont Scout Reservation and Swift Base, Camp Sakima and Camp Famous Eagle at S bar F Scout Ranch. MAKING RESERVATIONS FOR SUMMER CAMP
For each of the summer camping programs offered by the council, a reservation must be made with the Camping Department. A sign-up lottery for the Cub Scout programs is held in early December with sign-ups available afterwards, as space permits.
Annually, we have held a sign-up lottery for the Boy Scout camp in October to assign weeks and campsites with open sign-up available thereafter. The Boy Scout summer camp lottery is held on or around Oct. 15 each year.
Venture crews from the council can sign up for the Swift Base between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31. After Jan. 1, Venture crews from outside the council or older Scouts from the council may sign up for Swift Base.
Contact the Camping Department for additional information.

APPLY NOW FOR SUMMER CAMP STAFF
The success of your troop's week at summer camp is many times determined by the quality of the staff serving you. If you have a Scout in your troop who will be 15 years old and an Eagle Scout by June 1 of the camp year -- and who you believe would make a good staff member -- encourage him to apply for staff. Also, Explorers and Venturers (male and female) will be interviewed for positions at the Swift Base.
Camp Staff Application
Camp staff provides a great opportunity for a young man or woman to broaden their Scouting contacts, improve their leadership skills and serve the thousands of Webelos, Scouts, Explorers, Venturers and leaders who attend our camps each year.
Salaries range from $195 to $350 per week depending on years of experience and the summer assignment.
