Cub Scouts

There are several opportunities for Cub Scouts to enjoy the council's camping facilities. See the links at the right for Dad & Lad, Mom & Me and Parent & Pal programs for Cub Scouts.

WEBELOS MINI-CAMP, WEBELOS CAMP
Webelos Mini-Camp is for boys graduating from the third grade; Webelos Camp is for boys graduating from the fourth grade.  Cub Scout packs must submit their reservation form and fees by Nov. 20 in order to participate in the camp lottery.  The lottery is held in early December and packs are notified with their camp dates by Dec. 31.

Reservation forms are available on the web site. Click the Forms tab in the menu above and scroll down to Camping.

Both Webelos Camp and Webelos Mini-Camp are held at Camp May at the Beaumont Scout Reservation -- off Interstate 44, 8 miles west of Interstate 270.  Two sessions of Webelos mini-camp will be offered at Swift Base, located on the
S bar F Scout Ranch near Knob Lick, Mo.  Two Webelos Mini-Camps will be held at Pine Ridge Scout Camp near Carbondale, Ill. One Webelos Mini-Camp will be held at Camp Lewallen near Silva, Mo.  Packs attending Webelos Mini-Camp at Pine Ridge Scout Camp need to furnish their own tentage.  Meals at Pine Ridge will be cooked on the campsite by the units.

Each pack must provide its own adult leadership for the entire period when Webelos are in camp.  Packs may choose to have the same adults throughout, rotate leaders or a combination of the two.  One free leader is admitted for each 10 Webelos or portion thereof (i.e., three to 10 Webelos provides one free leader; 11 to 20 provides two free leaders).  Fee for additional leaders is $60 at Webelos Camp or $40 at Mini-Camp.  The number of additional leaders is restricted to allow a maximum number of Webelos to participate.  Sorry, no den chiefs are allowed to participate.
