School Night to Join Scouting A night dedicated for all boys to join Scouting!
Rockwood School District-August 28 Parkway & Valley Park-September 4 Brentwood, Kirkwood & Webster Groves-September 11
Ways to have a successful School Night to Join Scouting: • Fill out your Fyier Order Form (include information on fun pack activities to get boys and families interested).
• Place posters and yard signs at the school, church and neighborhood. (Get these items at the kickoff meeting.)
• Include School Night to Join Scouting information on a PTO/school newsletter or e-mail.
• Place your School Night to Join Scouting date on the marquee in front of the school.
• Help with the rally at your school a few days before the School Night to Join Scouting. (Bring fun items to show the boys, such as a Pinewood Derby car, etc.)
• Write a press release to your local paper and include information on fun pack activities and dates.

Our membership is what we are all here for! Without the youth, we would have no program. However, we will always have room for more youth in the program! You can help us with that. Follow the Beyond Membership link to find even more resources for our membership.
Please contact us for RECRUITING resources. We provide printed colored flyers, mail postcards to potential Scouts and hold rallies for new members.

Eagle Boards of Review meet on the first, second and fourth Wednesday of each month, 7 to 9 p.m., at Parkway United Church of Christ, 2841 N. Ballas Rd., St. Louis, MO 63131 (just north of Clayton Road -- the new church on the west side of Ballas on the lower level).

LIFE-TO-EAGLE SEMINAR This program helps parents and Scouts learn more about obtaining the Eagle Scout award. Wednesday Sept. 17, at Parkway West Senior High School, 14653 Clayton Rd., Ballwin, MO 63011, 7 p.m. SHARP to 8:30 p.m. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow for check in so that we can start and end on time. We will gather in the theater -- enter the building through the set of double doors nearest Clayton Road. All Star Scouts! Learn what you will need to do to become an Eagle Scout. Learn the rank requirements, Eagle Project requirements and district expectations. There is a separate breakout session for unit leaders.
EAGLE BOARD OF REVIEW TRAINING This training is for volunteers willing to staff district Eagle Boards of Review. Wednesday Sept. 17, at Parkway West Senior High School, 14653 Clayton Rd., Ballwin, MO 63011, 7 p.m. SHARP to 9:30 p.m. Learn how to serve on the district's Eagle Board of Review. The camping program is a key to a successful troop and retaining their youth. Take advantage of all the council camping opportunities that you can. Keep your youth involved and excited. Scouts who are involved in planning your outdoor programs are Scouts who stay in the program. Help them become successful. The rewards in watching youth grow are tremendous. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!

Staff Opportunity: We are looking for staff members from each Troop. We would like as many youth and adult staff members as possible. Remember, these are youth-led events.
