Spring & Fall STEM Events
Upcoming Council Events (click title for registration):
Cub Scout STEM Days: Now at two locations, this event gives Cub Scouts the opportunity to earn STEM-based Adventure Loops/Pins with the help of Mad Science! Tigers will earn the Sky Is the Limit loop, Wolves will earn the Motor Away loop, Bears will earn the Super Science loop, and Webelos will earn the Adventures in Science loop. Join us at Lindenwood University – Belleville on Oct. 14 or Fabick CAT on Oct. 21.
Scoutbotics: This unique event offers Boy Scouts, Explorers, Venturers, and youth ages 11-17 the opportunity to design, program, and race a robot. It’s for those youth interested in robotics and looking for an engaging and challenging opportunity to exercise their STEM legs! Participants will leave with their own robot and the memory of a fantastic day of robot fun on Oct. 28.
Radical Robotics: Bring all Scouts — boys and girls, siblings and friends — to a morning of fast-paced, engaging technology and engineering on Oct. 28. Scouts will learn basic robotics by building and testing their own robot that they get to take home! The EM4 Robot can be built 4 different ways. Recommended ages are 8-13, but all are welcome.
Einstein Recognition Dinner: Supernova Award Recipients, mentors, and families are cordially invited to attend the 2017 Einstein Recognition Dinner. This event is our third opportunity to honor our local Scouts’ accomplishments for obtaining a Supernova Award or multiple awards and to recognize our STEM volunteers and sponsors. Supernova Recipients in attendance will receive a token of appreciation from the Greater St. Louis Area Council.
