100 Years of Great Service
December 30, 2016
For over a century, the Boy Scouts of America has been offering youth life-changing programs in character development and leadership training. So we know a thing or two about a history in success and tradition. That’s why we are excited to congratulate Fabick Cat on its 100-year anniversary!
Over the years, Fabick Cat has been a strong supporter of the Greater St. Louis Area Council. With four camp properties, maintenance is always a priority whether it is to keep our camps safe or continue to keep them relevant. Whatever the case, any time there is need for heavy equipment for capital improvements, Fabick has generously donated materials and equipment rentals.
In fall 2015, we set out to build a state-of-the-art, 16,000 square-foot dining hall at S bar F Scout Ranch. Fabick Cat’s equipment allowed us to meet an ambitious timeline and the new dining hall opened just in time for 2016 summer camp.
Aside from its core business, Fabick Cat has also supported the Scouts with its STEM endeavors. Its headquarters has hosted two Cub Scout STEM Days for more than 200 Scouts learning about science, technology, engineering, and math. Fabick’s setting helped showcase the latest in tractor technology for the Scouts to see up-close.
Since 2001, the Greater St. Louis Area Council has had the great honor of having Doug Fabick, president of Fabick Cat, serve as a member of its board. He has generously hosted several meetings and events, including the board trip to summer camp each year. He also saw that the Fabick Charitable Trust was part of the Scouts’ 2009 Capital Campaign. In 2009, Mr. Fabick was honored with the Silver Beaver Award, the highest recognition a local council can bestow on an adult volunteer.
The good work of Scouting does not happen without dedicated and passionate supporters such as Fabick Cat. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of youth and congratulations on 100 years of great service.
