Council Camp Receives Capital Improvements Thanks To Generous Donors
October 30, 2017
S bar F Scout Ranch, located in Knob Lick, Mo., received new capital improvements earlier this fall thanks to the generosity of two long-time Scouting families.
The Robert A. Busse Memorial Fishing Pier and Gazebo was dedicated at Camp Gamble on Sept. 9. The project was completed thanks to Martha G. Busse, Daniel L. Busse, David R. Busse, Sue Busse and Barb Voss.
The pier and gazebo will provide a better fishing experience for Scouts and Scouters at the ranch including the addition of a shaded gazebo that will be especially welcome during hot summer months.
A brand new bridge connecting the east and west banks of Huck’s Cove was also installed this fall. Philip Stupp, Executive Board Member at the Greater St. Louis Area Council, provided funding for the bridge which was dedicated on Oct. 28 in memory of his father, Robert P. Stupp.
