Donors Provide Beaumont Entrance Improvements

April 23, 2018

The next time you enter Beaumont Scout Reservation, you’ll notice a fresh new look to the water and landscape.

Significant improvements to the pond and front entrance of Beaumont Scout Reservation are being made thanks to a generous gift from Jim Nahlik, Council Risk Management Committee Member, and his family. This gift will provide a new rail fence along the bridge over the pond, replace a broken culvert, repair the dam, remove old trees and stumps, plant native flowers and plants, and install walkways and benches by the pond.

The pond area will become a space for environmental and soil conservation study as well as a picnic spot for families visiting Cub World.

The Council is grateful to the Nahlik family for making this important capital project possible. For more information on contributing toward a capital project, please contact Jim Nolan at (314) 256-3032 or james.nolan@scouting.org.
