Day Camp: Start sharing the information with your pack now so families can plan on attending one of our four local day camps. All children ages 6-11 are welcome to attend, whether registered in scouts or not. So invite a neighbor or a friend, or even promote this as a recruiting tool in your community! District Pinewood Derby
2024 Pinewood Derby: Saturday 3/9/2024
Thank you to Behlmann Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Troy MO for sponsoring the event and keeping it free to all participants!
Races will be done by grade groups, with 1st-3rd place trophies for the fastest cars in each grade. Trophies will also be awarded for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall District winners (overall fastest cars) and other various fun categories.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, 3/9/2024 at Wentzville Christian Church, 1507 Hwy Z, Wentzville, MO 63385. Check in is 9-10am, and races are 10am-noon. Register, today here.
10 Commandments Hike
Join us for the 3rd Annual Ten Commandment Hike! This urban hike will be about four to four and a half miles long (with frequent stops!) and explores the diversity of religions in our community. The hike will feature visits to various houses of worship and parks where we will be greeted by a presenter who will briefly discuss a Commandment. This event is hosted by and in St Charles, but all scouts and non scouts from across the council, all religions, and all ages and ranks are welcome. Register today, here.

O'Fallon Hoots Baseball
Love baseball, love scouting? Join us for non-profit night at the O'Fallon Hoots! The Hoots take on the Clinton Lumberjacks at Carshield Field Thursday, June 6th at 6:35pm. In partnership with Boone Trails District, $5 of every $9 ticket will be donated back to Scouting!

Camporee
The 2024 Spring Camporee, "Revisiting the 1940s," is flying to new heights (weather permitting), with a WWII B25 airplane doing a flyer over of the camp. This particular historic airplane was part of the Doolittle Raid in 1942. The Missouri Wing Commemorative Air Force will have a guest speaker at the event who will explain the aircraft and its operation.

Fishing Clinic
The 3rd Annual Fishing Clinic at Busch Wildlife will be Saturday, August 10, 2024.
Location: August A Busch Lake Numbers 1, 2, and 15.
Time: Check-in from 8:00-8:30, event expected to end at 12:00.

The Fishing Clinic is designed to teach the Cub Scouts basic fishing skills, and to teach adult leaders instruction techniques. In addition, Scouts will have the opportunity to engage with the Cub Scouts as a Den Chief using the EDGE method to reinforce the skills the Cub Scouts were taught and to earn requirement 2 of the Complete Angler Award.
The scouts will be moving from station to station learning fishing skills, and conservation knowledge. Scouts will walk away with a scout made lure, scout assembled first aid kit, fishing passport, Hobo fishing rig, and a recipe for Fish Tacos. After each station the scouts will use those taught skills to fish. Anyone registered will get an event patch.
Scouts are encouraged to register a friend to bring along that has an interest in being part of scouting as a Cub Scout.
Advancement and Merit Badge Opportunities
Theater Merit Badge opportunity: we are excited to announce that the College of Arts and Humanities at Lindenwood is sponsoring the Theater Merit Badge and will host opportunities to earn the advancement at the campus, March 18, June 6, and October 5. To register for the 3/18 date, go here.
Fysiq Bungee Fitness in St Peters is sponsoring the Personal Fitness Merit Badge and has upcoming opportunities for our Scouts to earn the merit badge at the Mid Rivers Mall location, March 16th and 23rd, April 13th and 20th at 2:00 pm. - Weeknight and Saturday times slots to choose from, and only $50 for your entire Scout group. Don't miss this fun! The program season is from March 15 to November 15.

Aquatics Programs
Scouts and Units interested in earning their Swimming Merit Badge, Scuba Merit Badge, BSA swim test, Snorkeling or Scuba Award can contact Y-Kiki Divers at 314-469-8722 to get scheduled. Our active scouters are excited to help scouts earn these aquatics awards and merit badges. The classes are offered throughout the year and do require pre-registering. Pool classes are indoor.
Scouts at least 8 years old, have access to the Seal Team and Master Seal team program for younger scuba divers.

Venture Crew 555 (Scuba Crew)
These two venturing crews are focused on Scuba and extending the scouting adventure underwater. Any scout or adult who is scuba certified can join. Not certified? We can help there too! The crew has monthly activities ranging from underwater hockey to weekend trips to local dive sites. Members also have access to discounts for scuba gear, and free gear rental for local pool dives, and half price rental for weekend dives.
