NYLT Leadership Academy

What is the NYLT LEADERSHIP ACADEMY?

The NYLT Leadership Academy is the premier train-the-trainer course for youth staff of your council NYLT course. It trains your NYLT youth staff to be world-class presenters and leaders of their council’s course. The NYLT Leadership Academy is being held in Los Angeles, California, St. Louis, Missouri, and Washington, DC in 2019.

The program is open to all councils nationwide. Participants who take the Leadership Academy will be treated like the  staffers that they are. Each participant will make five presentations (through the incorporation of EDGE) ensuring effective participant learning. Lessons in effective and positive presentation evaluation will allow participants to bring the lessons of the Academy back.

The  Academy is not just an in-camp experience. One day is spent hiking to many of the historical places in Los Angeles, St. Louis or Washington DC area.

The cost is $420.00 per participant.  It includes meals, course t-shirts (2), water bottle and lodging.  Transportation is not included, but a shuttle service is provided from specific locations.

St. Louis, MO  is  June 30- July 6, 2019
Washington, DC is July 7-13, 2019 or July 14-20, 2019
Los Angeles, CA is July 14-20, 2019
