The Scales and Compass Award

Greater St. Louis Area Scouting is proud to introduce The Scales and Compass Award, created to honor members of our legal community who live out the values of the Scout Oath and Law every day. This award will spotlight individuals whose careers demonstrate integrity, service, and leadership. These are principles shared by both the Scouting and legal professions.

Our inaugural class will include three honorees who exemplify these ideals: a law student, an early-career attorney (within the first 10 years), and an established lawyer.

We’re now asking for your help identifying outstanding nominees. Candidates must have been involved in Scouting as youth or as adult leaders in any program in the United States, be members in good standing of the legal profession, and live or practice within the Greater St. Louis Area Scouting territory. Winners will be announced in November 2026.
