Friends of Scouting Campaign

Keep Scouting Strong for More than 27,000 Youth

Did you know the $75 annual Scouting registration fee goes directly to the National office of the Boy Scouts of America? That if a Scout unit collects dues, that money stays with the unit to help pay for supplies, advancements, and other activities?
The annual Friends of Scouting Campaign provides support to our Council to create great programs and maintain our camps. All funds raised in this effort stay with our local Council!

Friends of Scouting (FOS) is the annual giving campaign for the Greater St. Louis Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. The FOS campaign provides 22% of the annual Council budget. That means nearly a quarter of every dollar in the Council budget comes from the generosity of Scouting families, alumni, and community supporters.  Without this funding, our Council cannot provide the resources necessary to provide a quality, adventure-filled Scouting program.

Make a monthly, quarterly, or annual pledge to the Greater St. Louis Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. Gifts can be made in cash, stock, Donor Advised Fund donations, or other assets.

Matching Gifts Program

Make Your Gift Go Farther

Multiply your impact through corporate matching funds.

The youth of the Greater St. Louis Area Council, Boy Scouts of America count on your generosity every year - and you can count on the Council to honor your gifts to the fullest. It’s a powerful relationship that truly changes lives.

Companies large and small have programs to match dollar for dollar and sometimes even as high as 2:1 - the charitable gifts made by employees, spouses, and sometimes event board members and retirees.

Matching gifts can make a big difference!

  • 1 in 10 donors, on average, are eligible to have their gift matched.
  • 16,000 companies and subsidiaries offer matching gift programs as a benefit to their employees.
  • In 2021, $91,993.97 was generated to support our mission - all thanks to matching gifts.
