Work At Our Camps

The Greater St. Louis Area Council is looking for dedicated and passionate individuals to serve on 2023 summer camp staff who can help provide a fun, positive experience for campers. Camp Staff also have the opportunity to earn a college scholarship* worth up to $1,250.

If you are looking for a rewarding summer job, camp is the place for you. We employ around 300 staff for the summer, positions include directors, lifeguards, program counselors, provisional leaders, food service, administrative staff, and others. Benefits include:

  • Salaries range from $260-$430 a week, paid weekly.
  • Camp Staff Scholarship* for staff in college or similar continued education.
  • Free room and board for the duration of your time on staff.
  • Rewarding work in a fun, educational environment.
  • Gain experience and training while building valuable job skills.

National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) Staff

Youth Staff
2022 NYLT Youth Staff Application

NYLT staff is a terrific opportunity for graduates of the NYLT program to master their leadership skills while having a ton of fun and building bonds with other Scouts on staff. Scouts on NYLT Staff are responsible for running the program at their respective week. The only requirement is to have successfully completed an NYLT course.

Staff members work at least one week of NYLT and will be required to be there for the full duration.

Adult Staff
NYLT Adult Staff Application

Adult staff members are anyone age 18 or older during Boy Scout NYLT and 21 or older during Venturing NYLT. Adult applicants do not need to attend during interview dates. *NYLT staff is an unpaid position and does not qualify for the council’s college scholarship program.
