Rhodes-France Scout Reservation, a camper’s paradise spanning 640 acres, lies southeast of Pana, IL. Nestled amidst scenic landscapes, it boasts two tranquil lakes, an inviting in-ground swimming pool, top-notch shooting sports facilities, and a well-stocked camp store. Visitors will revel in an endless array of enriching activities to cherish!
Places to Stay
Tent Camping
Rhodes-France currently has 13 campsites. Each campsite capacity is as different as the campsites themselves. Each campsite is equipped with at least one picnic table and a fire ring. Water is available seasonally from April to October.
Cabin Camping
Rhodes France has six cabins available for use. All come with two sets of bunk beds. The cabins are also equipped with electricity, A/C and heating.

Chapel
Located just southwest of the parking lot, is a beautiful, rustic open-air Chapel. With seating for over 100, the Chapel provides non-denominational services for Scouts and Leaders. It also provides a quiet area for reflection, meditation, or simply enjoying the scenery God has provided. Services are held Saturday evening or Sunday morning depending on programming needs.
Firebowl
One of the wonders at Rhodes-France Scout Reservation has to be the Firebowl Arena. This picturesque amphitheater is set on Lake Millikin with the woods as a backdrop. Straight across from the Firebowl arena at the top of the hill, the Order of the Arrow Ceremonial Tipi can often be seen.
Dining Hall & Meeting Spaces
Activity Building
The Activity Building serves as the Dining Hall for summer camp and weekend events, and can be used throughout the year for programs requiring a large building with an open floor plan. It features a large stone fireplace and AV hook ups.
Administration Building
The Administration Building is the centerpiece of the front of camp. Located just across from the McCoy Village cabins, the newly renovated Administration Building features a small kitchen, large meeting room, an office room, and a restroom and shower.
