My name is Jordan Rud. I am the new District Executive for the Kaskaskia District. Iโ€™ve worked for Council now for two and a half years as the District Executive for Black Gold District. I am also the Staff Adviser for the Nisha Kittan OA Lodge, as well as the Camp Director for Famous Eagle down at S-F Scout Ranch. Iโ€™ve been a volunteer for a long time in the Soaring Eagle District (formaly St. Clair), as Den Leader, Cubmaster, ASM, Scoutmaster, Day Camp Director, and Family FOS Chair. I also volunteered with Council as the PR/Marketing Chair for the Alumni Committee. In my tenure, Iโ€™ve served on camp staff at Camp Warren Levis in 2021 as the Business Manager and Trading Post Manager. Iโ€™ve also served as a Paraprofessional teaching Scouts with Special Needs and through community outreach.

Prior to my Scouting career, I served in the Army for 8 years in the 82nd Airborne, which took me to Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as Hurricane Katrina relief. I am married with 2 kids in Scouting. My family is pretty heavily involved with Scouting through our units, the OA, and Camp staff. I am now on my 4th staffing of Wood Badge, having been a participant in 2018 as part of the Acrobatic Golden Eagle Patrol of course C3-312-18-2 at Camp Warren Levis. I am involved with Rotary, the VFW, American Legion, and sometimes the GSUSA.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask, I usually am fairly quick to respond. I look forward to working with you all.

Sign up for the Special Needs Awareness Training for all ages. There will be activities for the Cub Scouts, Disabilities Awareness Merit Badge for Scouts BSA and adult classes for leaders and parents. ย Attend this training with professionals in the fields of Special Needs and Education for theย opportunity to learn how to provide the best services for every Scout.

The next training will be held on April 27, 2024, at SIUC in the JW Neckers Building Atrium. Check in will start at 9:00am with class starting at 9:30am and will be completed at 3:00pm.

When you arrive to camp each participant will be divided into Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, and Leaders/Adult/Parents/Youth Leadership. Each group will be in the general area but wanted to clarify that each group will be divided and given leadership by the special needs committee staff.
