Little Medical School in Creve Coeur is a STEM program bringing medicine, science, and the importance of health to youth in an entertaining, exciting, and fun way! They’ve partnered with the Scouts to offer STEM-based Adventure workshops in their facility. Wolves can earn Germs Alive! by doing fun science experiments that teach the important of a clean room, proper hand-washing, and covering your sneezes. Webelos can earn the First Responder Adventure by building a First Aid kit and treating minor injuries.
Snapology in Kirkwood offers thorough, hands-on workshops with advanced educational materials. Earn your Bears Robotics Adventure or Webelos Moviemaking Adventure. Bears will use advanced Lego robotics kits to build and program a droid hand; Webelos will use Lego Bricks and stop-motion animation techniques to create their own movie!
Sylvan Learning Center of O’Fallon, IL is now offering STEM Adventure workshops! Try out Bears Robotics to build a robotic hand and use the Lego WeDo sets. Or join the Sylvan team for Webelos Engineer Pin to build models with K’Nex and complete 2 engineering projects! Now also offering Webelos Game Design: use Tynker to design your own video game that you can continue perfecting at home! These workshops are fun, hands-on, and educational.
West County STEM, located at Mathnasium of Wildwood, is now offering STEM workshops and camps specifically for Scouts! Earn your Drafting Merit Badge, Programming Merit Badge, and Designed to Crunch NOVA awards. At the Drafting workshop, Scouts will be learning about the tools used to create hand drawn project sketches and using the tools to create a project sketch and an engineering lettering project.
The Challenger Learning Center is now offering Adventure and Merit Badge workshops! Using simulated space missions and immersive, “out-of-this-world” activities, they offer a unique experience for each of their workshops, including Bears Robotics, Webelos Adventures in Science, and Merit Badges in Astronomy, Electricity, and Space Exploration.
Bricks 4 Kidz Metro East and Bricks 4 Kidz Ballwin-Chesterfield offer STEM Adventure & NOVA workshops throughout the year! Our Illinois-side and West County Cub Scouts will love exploring their creative side using Lego Brick models in a fun & educational setting. Bricks 4 Kidz also offers private workshops for a number of Cub Scout badges, as well as activities for Blue and Gold banquets.
e2 Young Engineers is offering fun and innovative workshops for Wolves, Bears, Webelos and Boy Scouts to earn STEM Adventures and Merit Badges! Workshops are now available on weekends through June 2018. You can also let e2 come to you! They’ll bring their robotics and engineering fun right to your Den.
Adventure loop and merit badge workshops for Cub Scouts & Boy Scouts are held at the Microsoft retail store inside the St. Louis Galleria every Saturday and Sunday. Sign up for some of our most popular workshops now through June 2017!
The Academy of Racing Science at Pole Position Raceway in South County provides a fun and interactive way to earn badges while learning about STEM education concepts. STEM-based programs are for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts in kart racing, safety, and technology with focus on STEM Adventure loops, merit badges, and NOVA award requirements.
Daugherty Business Solutions will be hosting Programming and Communication Merit Badge classes at the offices of IT Consulting firm Daugherty Business Solutions. Scouts will have an opportunity to tour the offices and work with IT Consultants on their merit badges and learn about career opportunities in Information Technology.
