Friends of Scouting
Annual Giving Campaign
What is Friends of Scouting?
Did you know: The annual Scouting registration fee goes directly to the national office of the Boy Scouts of America. If a Scout unit collects dues, that money stays to help pay for supplies, advancements, and other activities. The Friends of Scouting campaign supports our Council to create great programs and maintain our camps. All funds raised in this effort stay in our local Council!
Friends of Scouting (FOS) is the annual giving campaign of the Greater St. Louis Area Council. The FOS campaign provides 22% of the Council budget every year. That means nearly a quarter of every dollar in the council budget comes from the generosity of Scouting families, alumni, and community supporters. Without this funding, our Council could not provide the resources necessary to provide a quality, adventure-filled scouting program.
Your generous, tax-deductible gift to the Greater St. Louis Area Council shows your belief in Scouting and desire to help young people grow into successful adults. It provides direct funding for Scouting’s life-changing programs that program fees alone do not cover.
Please help keep Scouting strong in our area by contributing to the Friends of Scouting campaign.
