Year-Round Camping for Troops, Crews and Posts
Year-round tent camping is available in the Camporee Area for Scout troops, Venture crews and Explorer posts. Outdoor pit toilet facilities are conveniently located near the fields.
Logan Lodge
Logan Lodge features bunks for 14, a refrigerator, range and wood-burning stove. Formerly known as the Health Lodge, this cabin was renovated by the Camp Lewallen Quartermaster Corps and is ready for action. Year-round water is available at the ranger station and portable toilet facilities are provided. The lodge is currently under renovation, it will be open for reservations soon.
Programs
Kyle Davidson Climbing Tower Complex
This great weekend program lets Scouts experience the thrill of high adventure while instilling composure and confidence in situations involving heights. The tower is available year-round for Scouts, Venturers and Explorers. The bouldering wall is available year-round for Cub Scouts. Units must provide a trained leader.
Anpetu-we Trail
A ten mile trail that offers an extraordinary hiking experience through the Camp Lewallen property. The trail is available year-round for Boy Scouts and Venturers.
Geocaching
A unique private geocaching experience that includes over 40 caches, found within 18 multi-cache courses. and included 15 “gadget caches” that require problem solving skills to get inside. Difficulty of courses range from Cub Scout appropriate to very involved. Bring some SWAG and trade up as you expand your scouting skills by find caches throughout parts of camp you may not know about.
To participate, you must have a personal smartphone with the following loaded.
- Avenza Maps App, a free smartphone offline mapping program, which can be used to navigate Camp Lewallen without a cellular connection.

During summer camp, simply go to the camp office, look at the geocache binder and select what courses you want to try. Camp staff can help answer questions you may have. Outside of summer camp, contact the Camp Lewallen Ranger to obtain the geocache binder and other necessary items.
Pioneering Kit
Led by a trained instructor, this one-of-a-kind program is designed to take a troop from basic knot tying to large building projects in the span of one day. The course promotes and develops Scouting skills and leadership. A pioneering kit is available for weekend use by Scout troops. Trained leadership must be provided by each troop.

Anpetu-We Lodge Legacy Brick Plaza
The Anpetu-We Lodge of the Order of the Arrow is constructing a “legacy brick plaza” where Scouts and Scouters- both present and past, living and deceased- can be permanently recognized.
