Cub Scout Day & Twilight Camps (1st – 5th Graders)

With STEM activities, shooting sports, crafts, games and more Day Camp is that traditional camp excitement you are looking for with some modern fun added in! Day and Twilight camps are for Scouts and non-Scouts alike! Campers must be 7 years old (or 6 and entering the 1st grade in the Fall). All campers who are entering 1st grade in the Fall must be accompanied by an adult partner.

1 night/ 24 hour experience overnight camping for all ages of Cub Scouts (entering 1st grade through 5th grade) and their families (Invite younger siblings, grandparents, etc.!)

- Can't stay overnight? No problem! Join us with just a day pass. Or invite a family member to join you for the day while you stay overnight.
The Family Camp Experience
DAY 1: Check in at 1-3PM - settle in and set up camp, receive a camp tour and orientation, complete swim tests, and go do various camp activities including nature hikes, swimming, and shooting sports - dinner will be served in the dining hall then followed by the evening's entertainment: The Campfire. At Campfire learn songs, watch skits and laugh along with the camp staff.
DAY 2: Enjoy breakfast and continue the fun of day 1 with various camp activities. Check out is at 12PM
Camp May Specific Highlighted Experiences: Explore Beaumont's very own cave, Mud Cave, climb the climbing tower at night, and swim in the Camp May pool!
Camp Warren Levis Specific Highlighted Experiences: Play in the pedal boats on CWL's very own lake, swim in the CWL pool, and explore the climbing tower and slackline course!
Famous Eagle at S-F Scout Ranch Specific Highlighted Experiences: Swim in our very own private Nim's lake, go fishing, and get a taste of one of the largest Scouts BSA Camp locations!

The Cub Scout Overnight Camp Experience

- DAY 1: Check in at 1-3PM - settle in and set up camp, receive a camp tour and orientation, complete swim tests, and get acquainted with camp life - dinner will be served in the dining hall then followed by the evening's entertainment: The Campfire. At Campfire learn songs, watch skits and laugh along with the camp staff.
- DAY 2 & 3: breakfast and the fun begins! Campers will separate based on age and go do activities. Activities include swimming, shooting sports, outdoor skills (like learning to build a fire!), STEM, and nature exploration. There will be a brief moment for lunch, a pause in the action for a rest, then activities start up again before dinner! After dinner, evening programs such as the climbing tower will begin!
- DAY 4: breakfast and continued fun! Before packing up, there will be a few hours of activities. Check out will be by 12PM
- For those staying for the 2 night option, you will leave after morning program on DAY 3, but before lunch.
Camp May Specific Highlighted Experiences: Explore Beaumont's very own cave, Mud Cave, climb the climbing tower at night, and swim in the Camp May pool!
Camp Warren Levis Specific Highlighted Experiences: Go boating in a canoe, paddle boat, or try stand up paddle boards, swim in the CWL pool, explore the climbing tower and slackline, take your best shot in the target sports area, see a different side of camp during the creek walk, brand your favorite hat or mug, and enjoy the sunset on the porch over the lake!
Pine Ridge Scout Camp Specific Highlighted Experiences: The unique twist of Pine Ridge? Campers cook their meals! Come out and explore the Cub Scout patrol cooking camps!
Rhodes France Scout Camp Specific Highlighted Experiences: Swim in the Rhodes France Pool, try your hand at shooting sports in some of the best ranges in GSLAC, and experience camp fire at the iconic Firebowl.
Each camp location, Camp May, Camp Warren Levis, Pine Ridge Scout Camp, and Rhodes France Scout Camp have their own unique flare and experience. So much so, you could attend more than one and get a similar outline but different experience!
Advancement
This camp is for all ages/ranks, incoming Kindergarteners and up. During the morning and afternoon, Scouts will do age-specific activities and advancements so they can start their Scouting year off with a few awards completed by the time they leave camp!

** What is the provisional camper option? All of our camps require adult leaders to attend with their camper(s). However, if you select the provisional camper option, you pay an increased fee to have camp staff be the leaders for your camper(s). This allows you to "drop off" your camper without adult leaders being present. The camp staff are adults, both male and female, who are trained to assume the responsibility of your camper(s). Available first come, first serve and may be limited to availability. All Lions (those entering the kindergarten in the fall) or Tigers (those entering the 1st grade in the fall) must have an adult with them no matter what and are not eligible for choosing the provisional camper option.

The Webelos/Arrow of Light Overnight Camp Experience

- DAY 1: Check in at 1-3PM - settle in and set up camp, receive a camp tour and orientation, complete swim tests, and get acquainted with camp life - dinner will be served in the dining hall then followed by the evening's entertainment: The Campfire. At Campfire learn songs, watch skits and laugh along with the camp staff.
- DAYS 2,3, &4: each day will begin with breakfast then campers will go and do their selected Webelos/Arrow of Light activities. You pick the experience! You will select which of the Webelos/Arrow of Light electives you want to work on. These activities include all of the basics plus a little extra: swimming, shooting sports, outdoor skills, STEM, and nature exploration. There will be a brief moment for lunch, a pause in the action for a rest, then activities start up again before dinner! After dinner, evening programs such as the climbing tower, camp games, and various themed nights will begin!
- DAY 5: breakfast and packing up camp. Check out will be by 11AM

Rhodes France Highlights
Rhodes France Scout Reservation is a 640 acre camp in Central Illinois featuring 13 campsites, 2 lakes, and an outstanding shooting sports area. Other features of the camp include an inground swimming pool, canoeing, rowing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboards, a beautiful chapel, and a large campfire arena overlooking one of the lakes. Special programs offered include STEM related merit badges, BSA Pistol Safety and Marksmanship Program, a great First-Year Scout Program, and much more!

Scouts BSA Dining Hall Style Summer Camp
Camp Lewallen Highlights
Camp Lewallen is nestled in the Ozark Plateau in the shadow of Mt. Logan. This beautiful, dining hall-style camp sits along the St. Francis River and includes programs like all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), shooting sports, a top-of-the-line rock climbing complex, river float trips, and STEM activities. Troops will also get to compete during the Wednesday Water Carnival and try their hand at cooking competitions!

Ranger Program Highlights
"Rangers Rule The Ranch!" If your Scout is looking for a week packed with adventure, look no further.
The Ranger Program is a one-of-a-kind, week-long, back country camping adventure. Scouts spend the week backpacking to various outpost campsites across the 5,200+ acre S-F Scout Ranch.
Activities can include blacksmithing, challenge courses, wilderness survival skill practice, black powder rifle shooting, fishing, canoeing across the 270 acre Nims Lake, and much more!
Designed for youth age 14 or older, or in their 4th summer of camp, the Ranger Program is a great option as an additional week of camp. All leadership is provided so Scouts can attend on their own or with a group. The Ranger Program is also a great preparation opportunity for a trek at Philmont Scout Ranch.

STEM Week Highlights
STEM Week is an extraordinary experience for Scouts full of many Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics based merit badges and over-the-top activities in addition to all the great outdoor activities that Camp May provides, including a brand new climbing tower, swimming pool, shooting sports, and more.
Each day Scouts will attend one merit badge (over to 40 to choose from) or one NOVA activity class. They may have the opportunity to work on other badges in the evening as well.
Afternoon and evenings will include other fun STEM programs and exhibits to experience (drones, 3D printing, things that go boom... you get the idea). If you love the outdoors but also want more in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics, this is the week to be out at camp!

Leadership Development ExperienceCamp Sakima @ S-F Scout RanchCamp Warren LevisWhat is NYLT?
NYLT is a six-day course that delivers training in a troop and patrol outdoor setting with an emphasis on immediate application of learning in a fun environment. Interconnecting concepts and work processes are introduced early, built upon, and aided by the use of memory aids, which allows participants to understand and employ the leadership skills much faster.
Why attend NYLT?
Through this week long outdoor training. Scouts grow and improve their leadership skills while following the guidelines of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Scouts earning the NYLT Shield are better prepared to interact with adult leaders and face the challenges and demands ahead.

Join us for the 2nd Annual Music Camp!
July 16 - 20 @ Swift High Adventure Base, S-F Scout Ranch
This special camp is for all Scouts BSA & Venturing Youth & adults.
Welcome to the 2nd Annual Music Camp at Swift High Adventure Base, nestled on the east side of Nims Lake at S-F Scout Ranch.
Enjoy the high adventure activities at Swift as you immerse yourself in workshops led by seasoned musicians. From fingerstyle guitar to bluegrass jams, there's something for everyone. Participate in campfire jams, camp activities (Climbing, Aquatics, shooting sports and more) and learn more about the music you love. Leave with newfound skills, cherished memories, and a deeper love for music.
All Scouts and adults are encouraged to bring their instrument(s) to the camp. Camping will be in camp-provided canvas wall-tents. Meals provided Wednesday Dinner - Sunday Breakfast.
Leadership is Provided for this camp - so individuals can register!
Horse Camp

Horse Camp Highlights
Spend a week at an intermediate riding camp cantering around the property and learning more about horses. There are many trails to be ridden, competitions/games to be played on horseback in the riding ring, and other activities to further your horsemanship along with a chance to show off your advanced skills in a Cavalcade at the end of the week. Other activities while at Horse Camp include swimming, rifle/shotgun shooting, climbing tower, ropes course, campfires, and much more.
Registration opens January 6, 2025!
All campers must be at least 14 and completed the 8th grade at the beginning of camp.
For safety reasons all campers must weigh under 230 pounds.
Maximum number of participants is 20. The Greater St. Louis Area Council Trail Guide Committee provides adult leadership for Horse Camp.
Registration for 2025 Horse Camp will open January 6, 2025! Join us this summer for an incredible camping experience. See you this summer!
For safety reasons, no one can ride who is over the maximum weight
limit of 230 pounds. Weight will be checked at camp. Rangers
and/or trail guides have the authority to restrict any person from
riding or other Horse Camp activities who may pose, in their
opinion, a safety risk to themselves, others, or the horses.

STEM on CAMPus

STEM on CAMPus is a unique “camp” experience where Scouts BSA get a taste for college life! Sleep in the dorms, eat in the dining halls, and have fun each evening with a variety of activities including campus rec center nights! Scouts have the opportunity to earn up to 6 Merit Badges or NOVAs at each camp.

Adult Summer Camp Highlights
Returning for 2024! Join us for Adult Summer Camp at Swift High Adventure Base! You work hard all year to provide a great program to the youth of your unit, now take an opportunity to enjoy an extended weekend at camp designed especially for you. Campers will get to enjoy a variety of staffed camp activities like rock climbing, horseback riding, and water skiing/tubing. We have a special menu designed specifically for this camp, as well as the option to enjoy offsite excursions and evening entertainment. Register today, spots are limited!

Outdoor Family Experience
Swift High Adventure BaseS-F Scout Ranch - Knob Lick, MO
What: A one to three-night camp outing for the whole family Where: Swift High Adventure Base @ S-F Scout Ranch.
When: June 30 - July 3. Please plan to arrive between 5:00 – 7:00 PM on your check-in day and depart by 3:00 PM on your checkout day.
Price: $30/night per family. Register ahead of time HERE!
Lodging: Families will stay in the provided canvas wall tents on wooden frames. The tents can sleep up to three. Electricity is not available on the campsites. Families are welcome to bring their own tents, if preferred.

- Staff will be onsite to provide lifeguarding for aquatic activities, including swimming, canoeing, and kayaking. All participants must complete a BSA Swimmers Test. Participants not completing the Swimmers Test will be allowed to swim and boat according to their ability level. The hours for aquatic activities are 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
- BB Guns and/or Archery will be available upon request.
- Staff will conduct Pontoon tours of Nims Lake in the evening for anyone that is interested.
- Staff will lead a short hike to Castle Rock in the evening for anyone that is interested.
Meals: Meals are the responsibility of each family.
Additional Information: Swift High Adventure Base features a large outdoor pavilion that families are welcome to use. Swift Lodge is available for anyone needing internet access. The lodge also has the camp store that all are welcome to visit.
