For more than six decades, Scouts have been decorating graves in the St. Louis area with an American flag to honor veterans for Memorial Day.
th annual Gravois Trail Memorial Day “Good Turn” will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Sunday, May 28 beginning at 12:30 p.m.
The Jewish Relationships Committee also holds a Memorial Day Good Turn event. The group meets at the United Hebrew Congregation at 7 a.m. A free breakfast is served before departing for the cemeteries.
Scouts of all ages and from all districts are invited to participate in both Good Turn events and the public is welcome to attend. Details and registration is available at stlbsa.org/memorial-day-good-turn.
Join us for this late-spring event, which is open to all GSLAC Scouters, highlighted by the presentation of the year’s Silver Beaver Awards. The Silver Beaver Award is the highest recognition a Boy Scout council can bestow on an adult volunteer leader. The award is presented to those volunteers who have provided noteworthy service that impacts the lives of youth and and has made outstanding contributions to the Scouting program.

Prior to calling for project proposal appointment, please make sure that you have obtained all of the required signatures (benefiting organization representative, unit leader, and committee member).
Before requesting a final Eagle Board of Review appointment, all of your paperwork should have been turned in to Council for approval and returned to you.
